Children's Memorial Hospital

Children's Memorial Hospital is moving out of the neighborhood, leaving a great opportunity to develop the centerpiece of Lincoln Park in a way that enhances our community and our lives.

We are the Children's Memorial Redevelopment Coalition, composed of churches, social organizations, and neighbors that live, work, and worship in the 43rd Ward. Our basic principles are as follows:
  1. Decisions must be made in an open process in which all interested persons will participate in the decision-making.
  2. Residential development must include a meaningful amount of housing that is affordable to and sustainable for a demographically and economically diverse community of families and individuals.
  3. Redevelopment should be environmentally responsible: historic buildings must be preserved and re-used; new buildings must incorporate sustainable design principles.
